Oak Grove Church has been blessed with the care of a well built church building that has been carefully maintained and is totally paid for! God has continued to shower His blessing on the church family that gathers by bringing new faces and families into our fellowship who find the building to be a familiar, safe, and encouraging environment to grow deeper in their walk with Jesus. It is our desire, since the completion of the last major addition happened back in the late 1970’s, to give bright and updated face lift, and to situate offices, gathering spaces, and ADA bathrooms in better positioning to be the most effective for the continuing use of the “home” the Lord has given us to meet in! We also plan to replace the pews with moveable seating so Pastor Brad and his team can exude their creativity in other ways as we gather.
This project has been bathed in prayer by our pastors, elders, and others involved. Our desire is to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading, and bring full honor and glory to the Lord, drawing all people to a personal, growing and alive walk with Him! While a building cannot lead people to Christ, an atmosphere of beauty can reflect the joy, peace, and warmth of those who do follow Christ! Oak Grove has been consistently complimented on the warmth and friendliness of our people. Let’s take it to the next level, bringing our building into 2016!
We are striving to be wise stewards of the building and funds God provides us with. It is His money in the first place! As we ask the Church family to pray about how He is asking you to give – above, and never in place of your tithe to Him – we know God will honor the genuine hearts of those who are involved! He is good and loves to shower His blessings of those who give generously to His work. 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 is only one of many places in the Bible stating this truth. Please prayerfully ask the Lord how He wants you to be involved in giving to this exciting update. If you have any ideas or questions please do not hesitate to speak with any one of us from the Visual Committee. We’d be happy to help.
Serving Him with gladness,

Completed! We are all enjoying the benefits of an updated sound system in the auditorium and foyer! (Praise You, Lord!)
Phase 2 (current phase)
- Brightening the foyer with new lighting and a doorway to the interior atrium which will be landscaped for practical “outdoor” use.
- New carpet squares and tile in the foyer, hallways, classrooms, and entrances to bring uniformity.
- New carpet and seating in the auditorium for flexibility in use of that space.
- Moving “The Coffee Bar at Oak Grove Church” to the foyer for practicality and fellowship.
- Revising the baby nursery for safety and more usable layout.
This phase will bring the offices, gathering space, and ADA bathrooms to the center of the building for better access, visibility, and usability, allowing the current office space to be used for smaller groups to meet.
The final phase will tackle the gymnasium and exterior of the building.
